Professional Development Courses
Conveniently scheduled to coincide with the Annual Conference & Exhibition, courses are offered Sunday, June 22,
through Tuesday, June 24, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. Courses that run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
include continental breakfast (7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.) and lunch (12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.). All courses include a course manual

Free Workshops Just Added!

“Sharp”en Your Oral Presentation Skills
Thursday, June 26 9:00-11:00 a.m. and 2:00-4:00 p.m.

ACE attendees are invited to join Julie Sharp, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Vanderbilt University, for a free workshop that will focus on delivery techniques for oral presentations; organizing the oral presentation; and creating effective visual aids. E-mail Sandi Spratt to register.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

Course participants may be eligible for A&WMA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and, in some cases, Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and/or Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for Professional Engineering (P.E.) credit.

Half-day courses consist of 3.5 contact hours; one-day courses, 7 hours; and two-day courses, 14 hours. Please note that A&WMA has been granted exempt status approval to be a Florida Board of Professional Engineers Continuing Education Provider (Exempt Provider # EXP 003891), and is an Accredited Provider of CLE in Pennsylvania (Provider # 947). In addition, A&WMA has applied to the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) for CM points to CIHs for several of the courses and will be applying to various states for P.E. and CLE credit.
