Monitor Opportunities

Every year, the A&WMA Annual Conference & Exhibition offers a multitude of unmatched opportunities for environmental professionals to expand their knowledge and grow their personal networks. No one interested in attending should miss out on the possibilities the conference offers due to a tight budget.

To be sure cost is no object, consider volunteering as a conference monitor. A&WMA enlists the help of volunteer monitors to ensure that the technical program runs smoothly. In return, volunteers receive a free conference registration to attend technical presentations and network with some of the best environmental professionals in the world.

Volunteer monitors work one or more shifts monitoring various technical sessions to ensure that all audio/visual equipment is operational and that presenters’ needs are met. Morning session volunteers begin at 7:15 a.m. and afternoon session volunteers at 12:30 p.m. Volunteering for one half-day offers a free same-day registration. Full-day volunteers receive any other day’s registration at no cost. Student volunteers earn a full student registration by serving as a volunteer monitor for two full days.

Assignments will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register soon. Registration benefits include admission
to technical sessions and exhibits only. Any registration fees paid prior to volunteering will not qualify for a refund.

To volunteer, use the downloadable registration forms or register online. Online registration for monitors will be available in February 2008. For more information, contact:
