Scholarship Programs Overview

A&WMA takes pride in supporting the future environmental leaders of our world in research, teaching, engineering, and environmental practice. For more than a decade, the Association has awarded scholarships to the most promising environmental students. To date, 108 scholarships totaling more than $383,750 have been awarded.  Full-time graduate students who are pursuing courses of study and research leading to careers in air quality, waste management, environmental management / policy / law, and sustainability are eligible to apply for the 2010 / 2011 A&WMA Scholarship Endowment Trust Fund. On September 2, 2008 the new & improved online application launched. Scholarship applications should click HERE to begin the process.  Applicants will be advised of results in January 2010.

Many A&WMA Sections & Chapters also have scholarship programs in which students may be interested. Details and deadlines vary. Click here for a list of section & chapter scholarship programs.
