Environmental Risk Management

We are sorry.  This webinar has been cancelled.

For additional information, please contact Autumn Secrest, Programs Coordinator, at asecrest@awma.org.

You own a company, are the attorney or risk manager for a company, are the manager of a facility, or hold the position of the Environmental, Health, and Safety officer responsible for your facility.  You have been reading the recent news about environmental hazards observed in the community that result in bodily injury, property damage, or expensive cleanups.

·        Are you aware that your company, property or facility may have risks resulting from actual or unknown pollution exposures?

·        Could your facility or company be at risk of significant financial exposure to claims for bodily injury, property damage and remediation costs?

·        Are tools available for managing the sometimes catastrophic and costly risks presented by environmental issues?

·        Could environmental conditions of your facility or property negatively affect an upcoming significant business transaction or refinancing?

·        Are there creative ways to settle claims or satisfy financial responsibility for environmental issues which will not jeopardize your company's credit position?

As you ponder your responses to these questions, you can gain additional information and then apply the new knowledge by participating in the Air & Waste Management Association's “Environmental Risk Management” Webinar on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.  A panel of experts on environmental risk management will provide an interactive discussion on various types of environmental site exposures and claims examples that may be encountered.  Panelists include:

  • Karen Aldridge Crawford, Partner, Nelson Mullins Riley and Scarborough, LLP
  • Nick Schuver, Senior Vice President, Aon Environmental Services Group
  • Mitch Cohen, PE, Senior Broker, Aon Environmental Services Group
