Submittal Types

Thank you for being an ACE2017 contributor!

There are several options for the format of the work you submit for your presentation at ACE.  The guidelines for each type of submittal are provided below.

  • Manuscript – This is a full?length paper that details all information on the topic to be presented as part of a platform or poster session; usually 7?16 pages in length. This will receive a technical review.
  • Extended Abstract – This summarizes the topic to be presented as part of a platform or poster session and provides key details and conclusions; typically four to six pages. This will receive a technical review.
  • Slide Presentation Only – PowerPoint presentation that will be given at ACE as part of a platform session; typically 10 to 20 slides. This will receive a content review.
  • Outline Only – This is a brief summary document that outlines the contents of a poster or platform presentation and the related work. This will receive a content review. An outline is not acceptable as a final product for the conference proceedings, so the final document submitted after review must be either a manuscript, extended abstract or slide presentation.
  • Panel Session – This is a full?length conference session (typically 100 minutes long) that requires an initial abstract submittal, followed by a more detailed narrative description describing the panel topic and list of presenters to the level of detail needed for the final printed technical program. An extended abstract may also be prepared giving more information. This will receive a content review.
  • Platform with Technical Review – Platform presenters are assigned by the Program Committee to participate in a session with other authors presenting on a similar or related topic and are given 15?20 minutes to present their work, findings or case study to the audience, typically using PowerPoint slides. Platform presenters in this category are required to submit a manuscript or extended abstract, which will receive a technical review.
