A&WMA Volunteer Leaders—Get the tools you need to be an effective leader, plan engaging programs, and grow your section or chapter.

Whether you're a new or seasoned Section or Chapter Officer, this amazing weekend will help you learn valuable information on how to manage your local unit,  recruit volunteers, increase membership, and the specific roles and responsibilities for your section/chapter officers. This program was created exclusively for our volunteers to strengthen your leadership skills, give you ideas that can be implemented within your committees, councils, and boards, and provide you with outstanding networking opportunities. Leadership Academy will be the gateway to exciting ideas, essential tools, and exceptional people. 

The revised agenda includes more tools and takeaways, sharing and collaboration sessions, and small group breakouts to develop a solid plan to reach your specific goals over the next year.

Attend this workshop to develop a plan working with officers, staff, and other leaders. Nearly all of our current board members and committee chairs started their commitment to A&WMA with the Leadership Training Academy and many have become instructors in this program.  

Your registration fee will cover all training sessions and materials, and food and beverages including Friday breakfast, lunch, reception, and dinner with an evening activity, breakfast and lunch on Saturday with the option of a dinner activity if you are staying until Sunday. You will have plenty of time to network with other members and see some of the sights of Pittsburgh.
