Leadership and Governance

A&WMA's volunteer leadership is a distinguished group of professionals from diverse, rich backgrounds who work together, in partnership with staff, to carryout and uphold A&WMA's vision, purpose, and values. The primary governing body of the Association, A&WMA's Board of Directors has legal and fiduciary accountability and provides strategic direction for the organization. Elected by the membership, the Board of Directors is committed to working diligently as ambassadors for the Association.    

The Air & Waste Management Association fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion in the organization and its activities, and does not tolerate discrimination on any basis. The Association encourages an environment of respect for all.
