Working on a degree to start your career in the environmental industry? A&WMA is the place for you!

The Air & Waste Management Association has over 500 student members in approximately 50 chapters at colleges and universities worldwide.

As a student member you will have many opportunities to enrich your professional growth and development.  Begin by becoming a member of A&WMA and joining your local student chapter. Participating in student programs is an important part of the college experience. Student opportunties include attending the A&WMA annual conference, where you can get the latest technical information, participate in student competitions, present and publish papers and attend student networking programs.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Environmental Challenge International (ECi) Competition where teams prepare and present an optimal solution to a complex "true-to-life" environmental problem and present solutions at the Annual Conference each year in June.

Get in touch with your local section to see if they have student chapters at your college or university, or one close by.

Congratulations to the 2021 Student Award and Scholarship Recipients!  Check out which students and schools are doing the best at fulfilling the A&WMA mission.
