The Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center welcomes thousands of visitors every year and is one of the first green arenas in the U.S. This facility has 5,800 solar panels atop 400,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Long Beach Convention Center is committed to reducing its environmental impact through ongoing energy and water conservation, renewable energy initiatives, and comprehensive recycling efforts. The facility uses cool roofs, energy-efficient LED lighting and motion sensors, electric vehicles, EV charging stations, and a large-scale battery energy storage system to reduce energy use. Water conservation measures include efficient irrigation, low-flow fixtures, drought-tolerant landscaping, and rainwater collection. With more than 50 designated recycling containers throughout the facility, the Convention Center continues to integrate sustainable practices into its day-to-day operations.
