Introduction to Air Pollution Meteorology & Dispersion Modeling
Wednesday, January 14, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm ET

Introduction to Air Pollution Meteorology & Dispersion Modeling is designed to familiarize air quality professionals with the basic principles of meteorology and its application to air pollution dispersion. Air pollution supervisors, administrators, engineers, scientists, planners, and first-time modelers will benefit from the webinar content. The webinar will provide a primer on atmospheric structure and dynamics and the dispersion of pollutants within the ambient air. Topics include:

  • The Atmosphere (structure, dynamics)
  • Atmospheric Boundary Layer
  • Air Pollution Dispersion
  • Dispersion Modeling
  • EPA Modeling Guidelines
  • Brief Overview of AERMOD & AERSCREEN
