The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) will be partnering with the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP) Cyber Chapter to present an Environmental Professional in Training (EPI) and Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP)—Environmental Science, Management, and Policy Review Course


Attend the on site course in Anchorage, Alaska or online with remote access through the AHMP Cyber Chapter! 

September 22 – 24, 2020
8:00 am – 5:00 pm (daily)
BP Energy Center, Anchorage, Alaska
 

This course will be held live at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage, Alaska and also broadcast live through the AHMP Cyber Chapter.  This technology allows for live interaction with both the instructor and fellow students (both in-class students and remote students).  This also allows for candidates for the EPI and QEP to attend a review class if one is not offered locally.
Technology permitting, classes will be recorded for students to view on a limited basis with signature of a waiver not to download or distribute.

Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) - Environmental Science, Management, and Policy Review Topics

  • Environmental Science Fundamentals
  • Environmental Impact, Site Assessment, and Risk Assessment Processes
  • Global and Multi-Media Environmental Issues
  • Environmental Management Systems
  • Pollution Prevention, Design for Environment, and Sustainability
  • Development and Implementation of Environmental Public Policy

The course will be held Tuesday through Thursday September 22 – September 24, 2020 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm daily.  Friday, September 25 will be a review day and the instructor will be available for limited consultation that morning.  A proctored exam for in-class participants will follow Wednesday, September 30, 2020.  Information on the exam and how to apply can be found at ipep.org/

Initiation of the registration for the exam prior to May 31 will include a $25 discount by using discount code AWMAAK-2020 when starting your application. (Please note that to receive this discount, the application only needs to be started, not completed.) Exams can also be scheduled independently of the course. 

An electronic copy of the course notes and sample problems are included in the price. CEUs will be issued at the end of the class.
